a stake in all the worlds, all within are yours to stir.
Gentle of touch and firm of hand, Hekate,
leader of the ghostly train, the barking of dogs
marks your passage, the shining of stars lights your path.
Hekate who is the companion of those who walk

Beloved Alchemists,
The tides of Samhain surround us as we enter the season of the Third Harvest. Here once again is the time for us to deepen our connection with our Beloved Dead, those Benevolent Ancestors of blood, of choice, and of land.
It is said that the veil Between the living and the dead becomes transparent during this time, opening the threshold between these two realms. When we knock upon this magickal door, our Ancestors will welcome us with love, offering their cosmic witness, wisdom, and assistance to better our earthly lives.
Let us together light the way for them to join us now—let us lay altars covered with their favorite things, offer them their favorite foods, pour them glasses of their favorite libations.
The Ancestors are our friends and our family; they are our Loved Ones who watch over us always, and we need not fear their presence. They are here to remind us that death is a natural result of life and that it comes for us all. Death is the transformation that gives way to new growth; it is one of the greatest gifts that Goddess offers to us.
With open hearts, let us welcome Those Who Came Before, sharing gratitude for our connection, our privileges, our very breath and the beat of our hearts. Let us welcome our Ancestors into our homes; let us thank them for our gifts, for our families of blood and choice, and for lives.
Dear Ones, please join me throughout this Samhain Season in the astral realm as we honor all of our Ancestors. Let us call upon the Great Goddess Hekate—the Lovely Lady of the Underworld—and follow Her bright torches to Her etheric altar where we will commune with those whose energies we carry in this lifetime and make magick to honor them, and ourselves. Let us set out a feast in their blessed names, and meet them where the Worlds unite.
